“Make the Label Count”活动持续推进,备忘录成员视频会议再次召开

2021年11月10日,“Make the Label Count”备忘录成员视频会议再次成功召开,国际丝绸联盟、国际蚕业委员会、国际毛纺织组织、澳大利亚羊毛发展公司、国际羊绒驼绒制造商协会、发现天然纤维倡议等相关领域专家和代表30余人受邀参会。丝绸是天然纤维的重要组成部分,国际丝绸联盟积极参与天然纤维活动,持续倡导丝绸可持续。

国际毛纺织组织秘书长Dalena White介绍了新加入的联盟成员和参会嘉宾;澳大利亚羊毛发展公司可持续发展负责人Emma Gittoes介绍了“Make the Label Count”活动阶段性工作;不伦瑞克集团合伙人Nick Blow介绍了与欧盟交涉的最新情况及下一步活动计划。

让标签发挥作用”是以倡导和保护天然纤维可持续为宗旨发起的活动,旨在聚集领域内专家和相关组织,通力合作,促进欧盟相关政策制定者对天然纤维可持续有深入的认知,进而制定更加合理、符合天然纤维可持续的产品环境足迹政策。国际毛纺织组织、澳大利亚羊毛发展公司发起了“让标签发挥作用”合作备忘录,备忘录创始单位包括澳大利亚羊毛发展公司、国际毛纺织组织、国际丝绸联盟、国际蚕业委员会、英国查尔斯王子倡议的“羊毛运动”、国际羊绒驼绒制造商协会、澳大利亚棉花协会、发现天然纤维倡议、Fibershed等。


新增备忘录成员

IndiDye®

John Smedley

John Smedley are creators of the fine knitwear. Established in 1784, they are the oldest manufacturing factory in the world, crafting beautiful, high quality garments that are designed to last, made in England and distributed the world over.

Mohair RSA

Mohair South Africa was established to be a gatekeeper of responsibility for the production of the fibre, develop and maintain industry standards to ensure ethical and sustainable practices, and provide ongoing support for the South African mohair sector.


Mohair South Africa seeks to advance the mohair industry through international partnerships and alliances to enhance the production and consumption of mohair products. Its aim is to create sustainable demand and profitability for all role players from producer to processor, and from buyer to manufacturer.
The belief is that shared knowledge, a vigorous commitment to continuous improvement, progressive attitudes and financial discipline are critical ingredients for the future success of the South African mohair industry. For this reason, the organisation invests extensively in research dealing with all aspects of mohair production, with the aim to continually improve on quality, volume and sustainability.

 

Peru Alpaca Yarn & Textile

Peru Alpaca Yarn & Textile is working with alpaca and vicuna fibre. Based in Lima, Peru, it is a family-owned organisation farming and track mapping alpaca and vicuna fibre using different workshops and mills to spin yarn, produce tops. 


In the frames of social responsibility programs, it is improving Peruvian alpaca fibre through high nutrition pasture seed cultivation working with an Estonian pasture seed certification centre. The first experimental try-out is successful with Estonian pasture seeds which are now growing well in the Peruvian Andes.
